In 2018, Sonya Jo Thomas began her journey of opening a small business in Fulton, MS. Sonya dreamed of owning a store full of all things rustic farmhouse with her charmed spin. The name, JoJo’s Rustic Charm, was derived from Sonya and her daughter – Karlee’s – middle names. After only a year and a half, Sonya quickly outgrew the 600-square-foot rental spot.

On a crisp Autumn day, Sonya’s wonderful husband, Roy Thomas, visited Van Sales. The owners, Frank and Janice Vanasselberg, gave Roy a history lesson about the old house on the hill. After falling in love with the property, Roy made the best decision to support Sonya’s dreams. The 3,200-square-foot building makes it possible for Sonya to sell everything from baby toys to kitchen utensils. Sonya hopes to continue her mission of helping the community one perfect gift at a time in her home décor and gift shop.
